Goalie Nikita Serebriakov moved to SKA following an exchange with Vladivostok “Admiral “, reports the press service of the St. Petersburg club.
The agreement with the 27-year-old hockey player is for a period of four seasons and will be valid until April 30, 2027. In the St. Petersburg club, the best goalie in the KHL last season will wear number 98.
Goalkeeper Sergei Ivanov and striker Dmitry Buchelnikov, who will play for Admiral on loan until the end of the season, went in the opposite direction.
Serebryakov played 178 matches for the Primorye club in 5 seasons and became the best goaltender in the KHL in the 2022/23 season.
— I am happy to welcome Nikita Serebryakov to SKA! He is a very strong goalkeeper who has enormous growth potential. Last year, the KHL rightly recognized Nikita as the best goalkeeper of the season. We have already worked with him in the Russian national team and that experience was wonderful. I have seen from my own experience what a talented and promising goalkeeper he is. Now we will work, play and win together at SKA!
I would like to express my deep gratitude to the “Admiral”. In Vladivostok, they accommodated the goalkeeper, who devoted more than five seasons to the team and helped it achieve the best result in history. This transition will benefit all Russian hockey!
Until the end of the season, our guys Sergei Ivanov and Dmitry Buchelnikov are going to Admiral. These are two young talents who can greatly help the “sailors” in solving ambitious tasks. I am sure the guys will progress and return to SKA as mature masters. I wish Sergei and Dima good luck and progress. We will meet and work again! — wrote SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg on the Telegram channel.
Additionally, striker Nikita Anokhovsky, who played for Lada this season on loan, joined Admiral permanently. “Admiral” received sports rights from defender Daniil Miromanov and monetary compensation. SKA received the sporting rights to South Korean national team striker Lee Chong-hyun and Japanese striker Shoma Izumi.
