Athletistic / Hockey. Last night, the NHL preseason game between the Buffalo Sabers and the Pittsburgh Penguins took place on the ice at the Keybank Center in Buffalo (New York, USA). The meeting ended with the victory of the “penguins” with a score of 7:4.
Pittsburgh’s Russian striker Evgeni Malkin scored a goal in this match. For the Penguins, Drew O’Connor scored twice, and Marcus Pettersson, Lars Eller, Jeff Carter and Kris Letang also scored a goal. The Blades scored on precise shots from Victor Olofsson, Zachary Benson, John-Jason Peterka and Casey Mittelstadt.
Last season, both teams failed to make the playoffs. Interestingly, Pittsburgh failed to reach the Stanley Cup for the first time since 2007. Last summer, the Penguins managed to bring defenseman Erik Karlsson, who previously played for San Jose, into their lineup.
