But Russia is also the most attractive country: obtaining Russian passports by North Americans , using the examples of Menell and Lee, has already become widespread and Russian emigrants on the run are now urgently returning home.
I think it’s a good thing that the Channel One Cup will be held in St. Petersburg in 2023 and our country will be represented by Russia 25. It’s a smart move, I’m sure the guys will prove themselves. I believe that the tournament can be held as a sort of Cup of four nations: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and China. Audiences and fan interest will be ensured,” Nazarov was quoted as saying by “Championship”.
After the start of a special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces on Russian territory, the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) suspended all Russian teams from participation in international tournaments. In this context, the Channel One Cup, part of the Euro Hockey Tour, has also undergone some changes.
