Athletistic/Hockey. The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has once again refused to allow the Russian Hockey Federation (RHF) to allow Russian national teams to participate in the 2024 Youth Olympics. This is reported by the TASS news agency.
It is worth noting that the IIHF letter mentions the decision of the organization’s council taken in March 2022 to prevent Russian national teams and clubs from participating in international competitions for security reasons. This decision applies to all Russian teams, regardless of the age and gender of the athletes. The IIHF has no plans to allow Russian national teams to participate in the 2024 Youth Olympic Games.
FHR President Vladislav Tretyak previously said that the organization requested the IIHF to allow the country’s youth teams to participate in international competitions, taking into account the decision of the FIFA executive committees and of UEFA to admit Russian national teams (U17) to international tournaments.
