“Buffalo swords » extended the employment contract with the defender Rasmus Dahlin the National Hockey League (NHL) club’s website reported.
The new contract with the 23-year-old Swede is for eight years. Under the terms of the deal, Dahlin will receive an average of $11 million per year beginning with the 2024-25 season.
Last season, the defenseman was Buffalo’s vice-captain and scored 73 (15+58) points in 78 NHL games.
Dahlin has played for the Sabers since 2018, when he came to the NHL from Sweden. He has 233 points (46 goals, 187 assists) in 355 career games in the NHL. He is one of 12 defensemen in league history to reach the 200-point mark before his 23rd birthday.
