A new contract with coach Nikolai Tsulygin has been signed for a period of one year. Tsulygin has been a member of the club’s coaching staff since 2017, and in the 2018/19 season, under his guidance, Salavat won bronze medals in the KHL Championship.
The team’s coaching staff also included former club player Konstantin Koltsov, whose contract is also designed for one season. The Belarusian striker moved to Salavat Yulaev after several successful seasons in the NHL and together with the Ufa team won the Russian championship and won the Gagarin Cup.
Another newcomer to the coaching staff is French specialist Adrian Valvo, who will be the team’s new physical trainer. Valvo has held a similar role at Dynamo Minsk since 2019 and previously worked at Grenoble, Lausanne and the French hockey team.
Finally, Salavat Yulaev signed a contract with the famous Russian coach Oleg Filimonov, who will work with the goalkeepers. The duration of the agreement with him is designed for one season.
