Attack Marc Scheifele and goalkeeper Connor Hellebuyck signed new contracts with “Winnipeg” reports the club’s press service.
Hockey players signed identical contracts for 7 years and $59.5 million (cap hit – 8.5 million).
The contracts of both players will come into force from the 2024/25 season: this season, Scheifle, 30, will receive 7.142 million and Hellebuyck, 30, 6.166 million.
Scheifele spent his entire career in Winnipeg and scored 645 points (272 goals, 373 assists) in 723 games. He won the World Championships with Team Canada in 2016.
Hellebuyck also played for the Jets throughout his NHL career. In 2020, he received the Vezina Trophy awarded to the best goalie of the season.
