Former Chelsea footballer Petr Cech made 62 saves in a hockey match and became the best player of the match

Former goalkeeper for London Chelsea and the Czech national football team Petr Cech saved 62 of 64 shots in a game for the Oxford City Stars hockey club.

Oxford defeated Streatham with a score of 3:2 in a regional championship match (third division of English hockey), Cech was recognized as the best player of the meeting.

Cech is 41 years old and signed a contract with Oxford City Stars in June this year. Previously, Peter played for Guildford Phoenix and Chelmsford hockey clubs.

Cech spent most of his football career at Chelsea; he also played for London Arsenal, French Rennes, Czech Sparta and Khmel. The goalkeeper holds the Czech national team record for number of matches played (124).
