FHU fined Sokol for statements made by the club driver against Kyiv Capitals coach Shakhraichuk

The incident occurred on October 10 during the Kyiv derby in the Ukrainian Championship

Disciplinary Committee Ukrainian Hockey Federation (UHF) fined Kyiv Falcon on 10000 hryvnia for unethical statements made by the club driver Alexander Sazonov to Vadim Shakhraichukhead coach of the Kyiv Capitals.

The disciplinary body was guided by a clause in the regulations that provides for penalties for “allowing club officials and specialists (managers, players, coaches, staff) to take actions that provoke conflict situations on the hockey rink.”

It is reported that the incident occurred during a break in the match of the 4th round of the Ukrainian championship. In the capital’s derby, Sokol won a difficult victory, beating the Kyiv Capitals in a shootout.

Earlier, the FHU Disciplinary Committee opened a case against Shakhraichuk. Before reportedthat the ex-coach of the Ukrainian national team allegedly has a Russian passport.

Subsequently, Vadim was removed from his duties as head coach of the Ukrainian national team, and then dismissed from this position. Together with him, another coach of the national team, Konstantin Simchuk, who also works as Sokol’s coach, resigned.

Simchuk’s team leads the Ukrainian championship with 10 points. Kyiv Capitals are in second place with seven points.
