The Kiev team conceded first, but then scored four goals
Falcon beat Red Star in the first match of the second round Continental Cup – 4:2.
The Kiev team more often threatened the Serbian team’s goal from the start, but were the first to concede when the opponents converted the majority. The Kiev team bounced back in the second period, after which they consolidated their advantage.
In the third period, Sokol scored another power play. Crvena Zvezda tried to win back, but managed to score one last goal.
Alexey Yanishevsky provided three assists for Sokol. Ruslan Romashchenko scored a double, and captain Roman Blagoy scored two assists. Maxim Razumov scored the anniversary, 400th goal for the Kiev team in European competition.
Sokol scored the first three points in Group D. In the next match, Oleg Shafarenko’s team will play on October 14 against Kaunas.
