The meeting took place in Ottawa and ended with a score of 5:2. Jacob Chickran and Braden Tkachuk scored twice for the winners and Jake Sanderson scored another goal. Travis Konecny and Cameron York scored for the visitors.
Russian Senators forward Vladimir Tarasenko gave two assists, his teammate Artem Zub finished the match with a score of -1.
In their next game, Ottawa will host the Tampa Bay Lightning on October 15, and Philadelphia will play at home two days later with the Vancouver Canucks.
