– Of course we are upset. We missed the first period, then we barely had enough to get by in the second or third. There are many moments, and that’s why it’s insulting. We missed two points. He lacked a bit of composure. And there are days when he doesn’t fly. He will probably come back to us for the next match. We will try to score in the next matches.
— Is your move to Sochi for a promotion? Considering you will play more.
— This is a new stage in my career. I think so – for promotion. We have a strong team in Sochi, big goals this year. We will try to win every match and move up the rankings.
— Did you leave SKA with peace of mind? Who owns this initiative?
– There was just an exchange. The initiative goes, I think, to Roman Borissovitch (Rotenberg), but it is nothing special. We talked calmly and decided it would be best for me. And I was okay with that. Thanks to the SKA, the boys, the coaches, the staff. I stayed there for several years, now a new stage of life has begun.
— Isn’t it a shame that until recently you were captain of SKA, but now you are “exiled” to Sochi? Let it be objective, taking into account your statistics.
– There is no such thing. This decision has been made. I am a professional player, my job is to play. Thank you to the supporters, thank you to the technical staff. A decision was made that made everyone feel better.
— But it is unlikely that the door to SKA will be closed, given the relations between the clubs?
– I don’t know. I am now a Sochi player. The guys received me very well, I know a lot of people here. That is why I will do my best to help Sochi achieve results.
— Do you want to play in a trio with the same Michkov, for example?
— Honestly, it’s not up to me to decide. My desire is to go on the ice and play. And how and with whom is decided by the coaching team, how they place us, that’s how we will come out, ”Khusnutdinov told the correspondent.
