Attack SKA Sergei Tolshinsky after the victory over Minsk “Dynamo” explained what the St. Petersburg club needs to overcome instability.
The Fonbet KHL championship match took place on Friday in St. Petersburg and ended with a victory for SKA with a score of 3:2. During this meeting, Tolchinsky scored a goal.
– It’s a difficult game. Today we didn’t have an advantage on the ice, the opponent took over, but the fact that we didn’t give in and survived is also important. Serebryakov was “pulled” towards the goal. In general, we stayed true to our character, we didn’t let Dynamo score in the third period and in the end everything ended well.
— Until the final siren, the opponents played at high speed. Who asked them?
– Yes, both teams tried. They run fast, we understand that we have to run even faster. Speeds therefore increased from one shift to the next.
— What sets Dynamo Minsk apart? Power team?
— I wouldn’t say it’s energetic. More likely the organization of the game. They have a well-established system, they play without failure and they are excellent at forechecking. These are the characteristics that set them apart. Lokomotiv, CSKA and Dynamo Moscow have a similar style.
— What does the SKA need to overcome instability? What is the problem?
— It’s difficult to say, because we played well in the last few matches. We lost to Lokomotiv at home, but actually in that match we made a few mistakes for which we were punished. And so, during the match, we dominated the opponent. And with Sochi, with Dynamo Minsk before that, in my opinion, SKA played well. Somewhere they lost concentration, made mistakes for which they had to pay. We just need to remove these ridiculous errors and keep them to a minimum.
— Can you consider Nikita Serebryakov one of the heroes of the match against Dynamo Minsk?
— Of course, when you have a good goalkeeper, you feel confident and reliable. Nikita is awesome, beautiful. God grant that he continues to help in this way, ”quotes RB Sport Tolchinsky.
