In the 50th second, Rangers defender Erik Gustafsson opened the scoring. In response, Columbus forward Boone Jenner scored a first-half brace. In the first case, he was assisted by Johnny Gaudreau and Kirill Marchenko, in the second – Johnny Gaudreau and Ivan Provorov. In the second period, Boone Jenner scored the third goal. In the 34th minute, David Jirczek increased Columbus’ lead. Ivan Provorov made the pass again.
