Ufa hockey players “Salavata Yulaeva” beat Minsk “Dynamo” (4:2) in the home match of the Fonbet KHL Championship.
For the hosts, Vyacheslav Leshchenko and Egor Suchkov each scored a puck, the guests responded with a goal from Roman Gorbunov in the second period.
Less than five minutes before the final siren, Dynamo striker Nick Merkley managed to equalize the score, but after another 1 minute 7 seconds, Sergei Shmelev again gave Salavat the lead and brought victory to the team. The final result was set by Evgeniy Timkin, who hit the empty net.
For Salavat, the victory was the fourth in a row in the championship, the team climbed to 4th place in the Eastern Conference with 22 points. The Minskers are 8th in the West (18 points).
