Athletistic/Hockey. Swiss goalkeeper from Bern Adam Reideborn explained the reasons for his decision to leave CSKA and also criticized the Swedish Hockey Association for its decision not to invite hockey players playing in the KHL to the national team.

“I understood what was happening. We discussed it at CSKA and many Russians in the team shared this opinion. But, of course, there were many different points of view.

I didn’t want to find myself without a team and without the possibility of a transfer if CSKA decided to keep my transfer card. So I decided to go back. I think I would make the same decision today.

I think it is wrong that KHL players are not allowed to join the Swedish national team. I believe I deserve the right to be part of this team. This is of course a subject of discussion, but perhaps the association should not abandon players playing in the KHL,” Reideborn was quoted as saying by the Aftonbladet newspaper.
