In the 26th minute, Matthew Phillips cut Washington’s lead to one score. And in the 29th minute, Connor McMiles equalized the score. During the shootout, Washington was more precise: the only one who managed to score was Russian striker Evgeny Kuznetsov. Washington captain Alexander Ovechkin did not convert his attempt.
