Goalkeeper SKA Artemy Pleshkov told how important “crackers” are to him in military club matches.
On Monday, the St. Petersburg team defeated Admiral at their venue with a score of 5:0 in the Fonbet KHL championship. For Pleshkov, 20, this is already the third clean sheet out of seven contested this season.
– This “cracker” was no different from the previous two. I try not to think about it. The main thing is that the team wins, we score points and move up the standings. This is the most important thing for me.
— When the “cracker” gets closer and closer as the match goes on, doesn’t that give you extra nervousness? How can you solve this problem?
— Honestly, it gives a little at times. Especially if the puck stays in someone else’s zone for a long time, there is only so much time left. But with each game, it becomes easier to control these thoughts and remove them from your head.
— You stepped on the ice during the match against the Admiral after a break. Did you manage to “reboot”? Because after going to the Far East, where you shone, there were defeats against Sochi (4:5) and Dynamo Minsk (2:4).
– Hard to say. It’s probably just a coincidence. We lost two matches. We have rested, trained and, with renewed vigor, are simply preparing more. Now we have to take all the points on the road,” Pleshkov said, as quoted by RB Sport.
