Vladimir Tarasenko and Josh Norris scored a goal each for Ottawa. “Washington” reduced the score gap at the end of the period. John Carlson made the precise shot and he was assisted by Ovechkin and Tom Wilson.
Tarasenko scored in the second straight game he scored on the puck against Washington.
Note that Ovechkin failed to score points for his performance in the first two matches of the season.
