Athletistic / Hockey. Last night, the Washington Capitals lost to the Ottawa Senators in an NHL regular season road game. The match ended with the victory of the Canadian team with a score of 6:1.
Washington captain and forward Alexander Ovechkin never had a shot on target for the Senators. The Russian spent 18 minutes 33 seconds on the ice, but failed to touch the opponent’s goal at least once. Interestingly, in the previous meeting with the Kalshari Flames (3:2 B), Ovi also failed to hit the target. Thus, for the first time in his career, the 38-year-old Russian has never hit the target in two matches in a row.
However, in a meeting with Ottawa, Ovechkin scored his first point in the NHL in the 2023/2024 season, becoming the author of an assist on a goal by defender John Carlson.
