– Hockey here is faster, few teams play hard power hockey compared to Switzerland. I would say that in Switzerland hockey is more like the AHL, the game is tough, many former NHL players spend the end of their career in the NLA. There are a lot of more experienced players there, but there are a lot of young guys here, and plus in Switzerland they play on bigger fields, so the hockey is faster in the KHL. And the level of play here is higher than in Switzerland,” Gernat was quoted as saying by “Championship”.
