The head coach “Ottawa Senators » DJ Smith said the team’s injured defenseman Artem Zub – a strong guy, unlikely to be out for long.
On Wednesday, Zub failed to finish the NHL regular season game against the Washington Capitals (6:1). The puck, after a throw from Washington forward Alexander Ovechkin, hit the defender in the left ear area.
– Nothing serious now. We’ll see how he feels today, but it’s a big loss for us. I don’t think he’ll be gone long. Zub is a badass. If there is even the slightest chance that he will aggravate the injury, then he will not play,” Smith is quoted on TSN.
Zub has played four games this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
