Athletistic / Hockey. New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin scored twice last night in the regular season match against the Seattle Kraken (4:1). The 31-year-old Russian extended his scoring streak to five games, collecting points for his performance in every game of the new NHL season.

At the start of last season, Panarin excelled in each of the first six games. Thus, he became only the third player in Rangers history to score points in at least five starting games of the NHL season two years in a row. Previously, this feat had been achieved by Andy Bathgate (6 matches in the 1960/1961 season and 8 matches in the 1961/1962 season), as well as Rod Gilbert (9 matches in the 1971/1972 season and 14 matches in of the 1972 season/1973 season).

Artemy Panarin scored seven points in five matches using the goal+pass system – he scored three goals and made four assists.
