World hockey champion Ennis refused a million dollar offer from Russia and went to play for $100,000 in Germany.

Canadian hockey player Tyler Ennis signed a one-year contract with German team Adler Mannheim. As has learned, a number of KHL clubs have applied for the 34-year-old.

Many KHL clubs were interested in the striker – Salavat Yulaev, Ak Bars, Lokomotiv, Dynamo Minsk. The price of Ennis on the Russian market reached $1 million per season in ruble equivalent.

Last season, Salavat Yulaev showed active interest in Ennis, but left for the Swiss championship to play in Bern. This year, Ufa again wanted to sign a striker, but he again refused – then Salavat Yulaev found an option in Joshua Livo.

Ennis himself left to play in the German championship for $ 100,000 a year, and he is no longer in demand in the NHL.

The reason Ennis doesn’t want to go to Russia is due to his fears about the international situation: his family won’t let him in.

The Canadian played 700 games in the NHL championships, scoring 346 (144+202) points. He played for Buffalo, Minnesota, Toronto, Ottawa and Edmonton. As a member of the Canadian national team, the forward won the World Championship in 2015.
