Before “Edmonton Oilers » Connor McDavid will be out one to two weeks with an upper-body injury, according to the NHL website.
Edmonton lost at home to Winnipeg in overtime on Saturday with a score of 2:3. McDavid, who had two assists, was off the ice late in the third period and into overtime. In five games this season, the Canadian has scored two goals and assisted his teammates six times.
According to Oilers head coach Jay Woodcroft, McDavid is suffering from a muscle injury.
McDavid became the NHL’s top sniper and top scorer in the regular season last season and also won the Hart Memorial Trophy and Ted Lindsay Award.
