Cherepovets striker Severstal Daniel Vovchenko announced he would return to the ice a month after breaking his leg.
Vovchenko was injured on September 26 during a Fonbet KHL Championship regular season match against CSKA Moscow.
— The doctors’ verdict has become disappointing. Fracture. Gypsum. And a long recovery. The physical trainer prepared a special recovery program for me. We train every day, but you yourself understand that this is the most difficult moment for an athlete – to see how your teammates devote themselves to work every day, fight, and you cannot help them. But now there is positive news. On October 28 I take off my cast and I go on the ice on the 29th. I decided to write because your support has been very important to me during this time. Thank you for that! I am very happy! — wrote Vovchenko on the Telegram channel.
This season, the hockey player took part in seven regular season matches, in which he made two assists.
Severstal will host Avtomobilist on October 29.
