Columbus sent Russian hockey player Chinakhov to AHL farm club

Columbus Blue Jackets » excluded the 22-year-old Russian striker Egor Chinakhov from the injured list and sent to the Cleveland Monsters farm club of the AHL (American Hockey League), the press service of the NHL club reported.

The hockey player missed the first six games of the NHL regular season of the current season due to a back injury.

Columbus selected Chinakhov 21st overall in the 2020 NHL Draft. Since then, the Russian has played 92 games with the Blue Jackets and scored 27 points (11 goals + 16 assists).

Columbus sits in ninth place in the NHL Eastern Conference standings.
