Russian striker Artemy Panarin scored an assist for the winners. The 31-year-old forward extended his goal streak to six in a row. Panarin is scoring points in every game of the new NHL season. In the previous season 2022/2023, Artemy also stood out for his effective actions in the first six matches.
Artemiy became the third player in Rangers franchise history to reach that milestone in six starts in an NHL season in back-to-back years. Previously, Andy Bathgate (six matches in the 1960/1961 season, eight matches in the 1961/1962 season) and Rod Gilbert (nine matches in the 1971/1972 season, 14 matches in the 1972/1973 season) had achieved this objective.
