Russian hockey player Vasily Podkolzin posted a photo from the hospital and said he was feeling good after an injury suffered during an Abbotsford Canucks game in the American Hockey League (AHL).
The day before, the Vancouver farm club had beaten the Colorado Eagles with a score of 5:2. Late in the third period, Podkolzin hit his head on the boards after colliding with Eagles defenseman Keaton Middleton and was left lying on the ice. The attacker was carried out on a stretcher.
“Everything is fine, don’t worry,” Podkolzin signed a photo posted on the social network.
Last season, 22-year-old Podkolzin played 39 games in the NHL regular season, scoring 7 points (4 goals and 3 assists). In total, he has 118 games and 33 points (18+15) in the NHL.
