Athletistic/Hockey. Today, October 31, the IIHF provisionally included the Russian national team among the participants in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. However, the final decision has not yet been made. IIHF chief Luc Tardif cited one factor that could influence the final decision. This is the case of CSKA goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov.
“I would like to emphasize that the decision taken by the disciplinary council in the case of Ivan Fedotov could change the situation,” SE quoted Tardif as saying.
In 2022, Ivan Fedotov signed a contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, but did not go to the United States due to conscription for military service. Returning from the army, he signed a new contract with CSKA. This led to disagreements between the KHL and NHL. Fedotov was disqualified on September 1 of this year, but he continued to play on the ice.
