Athletistic / Hockey. Sheffield player Matt Petgrave has been the victim of online bullying. It was his contact that Nottingham striker Adam Johnson was fatally injured.
On October 28, during a match at the British Championship, Johnson, in a collision with Petgrave, received a deep cut on the neck with a skate and lost consciousness from blood loss. The player was quickly taken to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save the 29-year-old hockey player’s life.
According to The Telegraph, after this tragedy, Petgrave received angry messages on social media, including wishes for a quick death. However, some fans came to the athlete’s defense, claiming the collision was accidental.
Adam Johnson managed to play in the NHL, where he played 13 games for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
