Colorado head coach Jared Bednar noted the play of the Russian goalkeeper Ivana Prosvetová during the NHL regular season game against St. Louis.
Colorado won against St. Louis with a score of 4:1, Prosvetov stopped 29 shots and was recognized as the third star of the match.
— I liked the way we played. The energy, the intensity of our game. And I think Prosvetov was great,” Bednar was quoted as saying by the league press service.
The Russian goaltender’s performance was also highlighted by Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen.
“I thought he was the best player on the ice today, and when we had a couple of hiccups in the second period, he was very, very good and made some big saves,” added Rantanen.
Prosvetov played his first game for Colorado as the main goalkeeper, entering the ice from the first minutes.
