“If we remove minor errors we will win, we play very well” – SKA striker Alistrov

Front SKA Vladimir Alistrov one of the best scorers of the team (19 points), commented on the failures of the Army team in the last matches of the KHL.

SKA lost three matches in a row – Sochi (4:5) away, Ak Bars (2:3) and Avangard (3:5) at home and fell to ninth place, the team is out from the playoff zone.

— What went wrong for SKA in the last matches? It feels like the team has once again entered a sort of free fall like at the start of the season.

— All matches are different stories. We are playing, in my opinion, very well, but we are making minor mistakes. If we remove them, then everything will work out and we will win.

— Can we compare the home defeats of Ak Bars and Avangard?

—Based on our game, probably not. We have done a lot. The only thing is that small details need to be fixed.

— The reason for SKA’s uneven performance is that the team is new? Lack of teamwork?

– That’s not an excuse. We’ve been playing for three months now and almost no one has any problems understanding each other.

— Are SKA’s results linked to the fact that the level of the KHL has increased in terms of competition?

— The KHL has always been a strong league. There are no weak teams, everyone is biting, everyone wants to win and we have the same mindset towards our opponents.

— Will SKA make it to the playoffs? Do you believe this?

– Of course, all the guys believe it. It’s just that now we are in a period where we cannot convert chances, we make mistakes, and that prevents us from winning. We play every game to win, we go all the way,” Alistrov said, as quoted by RB Sport.

The last time the army team won was on October 25, when Roman Rotenberg’s team defeated Kunlun Red Star with a score of 6: 3. SKA will play their next match on November 4 against Vityaz.
