Before “Spartak » Egor Filin told that two years ago he could not imagine that he would play in the KHL.
Last season, Filin, 24, played for Novokuznetsk Metallurg in the VHL. The forward also started the current VHL championship as part of Khimik, for which he scored 17 (4+13) points in nine matches. After that, Filin was called to Spartak, where he scored 6 (1+5) points for his performance in 14 meetings.
During the period 2016-2022 the player played for the teams of the CSKA system: “Red Army” in the MHL and “Zvezda” in the VHL.
— This is your first season in the KHL. You were given a chance at Spartak. How do you feel in Alexei Zhamnov’s system?
“Two years ago, I couldn’t imagine playing in the KHL. Thanks to the head coach of Khimik, Igor Vladimirovich Grishin, who gave me confidence. I felt his confidence, the match started, I started scoring points. Then I was promoted to Spartak. Here too, in every match, I try to prove myself, to prove that I deserve a place in the team. Thanks to Alexey Yurievich Zhamnov and all the coaches for their trust. I feel it, I try to add more to each match.
— You have been in the CSKA system for a long time. Are matches with the army team fundamental for you?
— Probably, the first match for me against CSKA in October was more important. I wanted to win, and that’s what happened. It’s a shame we lost the second game. We can say that I have a 1:1 draw with CSKA,” Filin told .
