The Continental Hockey League announced the appointment on its official website Andrei Tochitsky as vice-president of hockey operations.
The official will be responsible for managing the competitions, security, medical management, player interaction and WHL departments.
— Andrei Valeryanovich is a well-known person in the world of hockey who does not need any special introduction. He has enormous hockey experience in various positions – from agent to club manager – he knows how everything works, inside and out. We are confident that his knowledge, experience and determination will help the KHL implement strategic initiatives aimed at increasing the popularity and development of hockey,” said KHL President Alexey Morozov.
— I thank the management of the Continental Hockey League for the trust it has placed in me. It is an honor for me to join a team that promotes our game and makes the KHL championship more and more interesting every year. Now I start working and I have to prove everything not by words, but by deeds, ”Tochitsky noted.
Previously, Tochitsky worked at SKA St. Petersburg as general, executive, sports director, manager and general director. During his tenure as an official, SKA won the Gagarin Cup twice.
