Minsk forward “Dynamo” Vitaly Pinchuk said his performance improved thanks to his coach’s confidence.
The Belarusian forward has played 24 matches this season, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists, for a total of 17 points.
– Start of the season? There was an unpleasant period where we lost five matches, but it wasn’t bad. We beat the giants, we find our hockey again. I hope we continue to play like this. What made you achieve such a personal breakthrough this season? The most important factor is the confidence of the coach. They give you more time on the field, which earns you points. Are you able to reach the points per game level? That means scoring 68 points… Initially, my goal for the season was 20 points. You have to increase it little by little. Are you satisfied with your game? Sometimes I play well, sometimes I need to do better. In the match against Kunlun there was a lack of simplicity – everyone was trying to get somewhere, to beat them, but you had to throw more. Maybe then the goals would have come,” Pinchuk said, as quoted by Championship.
