Athletistic/Hockey. Russian sports commentator Dmitry Guberniev expressed his thoughts on the departure of Russian athletes abroad during his participation in the program “It’s football, my brother”.
Guberniev gave the example of goalie Vasilevsky, who is now an NHL superstar and one of the best goalies in the history of world hockey. Vasilevskiy went to Tampa on a $500,000 rookie contract when he was just 18 years old. A $500,000 contract means $250,000 a year is left over. At that moment, Salavat Yulaev immediately offered Vasilevsky 2 million euros.
Guberniev emphasized that despite the lucrative offer from the Russian club, Vasilevsky decided to go where they provide the best opportunities for the development of hockey. Guberniev urged not to be afraid, but just to go and play in a place where you can develop in the sport.
