Athletistic/Hockey. SKA St. Petersburg head coach Roman Rotenberg spoke about the problem of cyberbullying in sports. The mentor noted that Russia could lose many talented athletes because of such manifestations of aggression.
“Any public person is sometimes bullied on the Internet. This often happens to famous athletes and coaches. Even the strongest player, the strongest team cannot win indefinitely. As soon as you miss your shot , there are people who immediately forget your past successes. They are happy to take advantage of the moment and write a lot about you on the Internet, which can hurt someone, deprive them of motivation and even derail.
Due to cyberbullying, Russia risks losing many talented athletes. Not everyone, especially at a young age, is capable of experiencing this,” Rotenberg said in a video posted on his Telegram channel.
On November 11, Russia celebrates Anti-Cyberbullying Day. This day is dedicated to the fight against cyberbullying.
SKA scored 28 points in 27 matches of the KHL regular season and ranks eighth in the Western Conference standings.
