Athletistic/Hockey. Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery praised the line of Evgeny Kuznetsov and Alexander Ovechkin for their actions during the NHL regular season road game against the New Jersey Devils. Last night, the Capitals won with a score of 4:2.
“The line of Kuznetsov and Ovechkin with Tom Wilson immediately set the tone of the game. We played the whole game with good energy and played the puck with precision. Today I especially liked the play of this line Kuznetsov scored an important goal in the second half, and in the end he delivered a devastating stab.
We still have to look at the moment with the first missed goal, because after that the initiative passed to New Jersey. I decided to free his line for a throw-in in the opponent’s zone, but the opponent rushed to attack and we conceded. Evgeny Kuznetsov scored two goals in the meeting with the Devils, and Alexander Ovechkin scored an assist.
