Ovechkin scored his 825th NHL goal against Varlamov in his signature style

Russian attacker Alexander Ovechkin scored the puck against the New York Islanders in an NHL game in his favorite way.

Ovechkin scored against the New York Islanders with a shot from the left circle to end his six-game goalless streak.

The striker opened the scoring in the match by hitting the goal of Russian goalkeeper Semyon Varlamov. Russian forward Evgeny Kuznetsov helped Ovechkin.

This season, Ovechkin has scored three goals and completed seven assists.

Ovechkin has scored 825 career goals in regular NHL championships. The Russian ranks second on the league’s list of best snipers, behind Wayne Gretzky’s 69 goals (894).
