US President Joe Biden received hockey players on Monday Vegas Golden Knights at the White House as part of a congratulatory ceremony to the current winners of the Stanley Cup, reports the press service of the NHL club.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the 27-year-old Russian striker from Vegas. Ivan Barbachev .
In the 2022/23 season, the Golden Knights won the Stanley Cup by defeating in the final series Florida Panthers with a score of 4 to 1.
Barbashev had already won the Stanley Cup in 2019 with Saint-Louis. He has been playing for Vegas since February 2023 and signed a new five-year contract in June with a salary of five million dollars per year.
