Athletistic/Hockey. Vyacheslav Fetisov, two-time Olympic hockey champion, commented on the statement of the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach, emphasizing that the head of the IOC has nothing to do with the organization of competitions in Russia.

In his statement, Bach pointed out that some states limit the autonomy of sport by removing the right to organize tournaments from international sports federations and establishing their own rules for the admission of athletes.

In response to these remarks, Fetisov expressed his displeasure, saying that Bach had no right to interfere in affairs taking place in Russia. He underlined his desire to see the sporting tradition and the country’s participation in the Olympic Games perpetuated with the flag and the anthem.

Regarding doping, Fetisov acknowledged that it was a complex issue and said that responsibility for this situation lay with those who dragged the country into this conflict. He also expressed his dissatisfaction with decisions related to the Olympic Games in Japan and China, as well as the suspension of Paralympic athletes, deeming them unfair.
