Moscow”Spartacus intends to solve the problem of the current contract with the Latvian striker Indrasis Blend in the legal sphere, not in the public sphere, the hockey club said in a statement.
Indrasis took to social media on Tuesday to deny reports of a move to Spartak as the Moscow club announced the signing of the 31-year-old striker in late June.
— The contract between Spartak and Latvian national team striker Miks Indrashis was signed in accordance with the regulations and registered with the Central Information Office of the KHL. All KHL contracts are recognized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and must be respected.
The question of the current contract between Spartak and Indrasis will be decided in the legal sphere, and not in the public arena. If the player decides not to respect the terms of the contract, he will have to pay compensation to the club in accordance with KHL regulations, the Red-Whites said in a press release.
Indrashis previously played in the KHL for Dynamo Riga and Moscow, Admiral Vladivostok and Vityaz near Moscow. In total, the hockey player played 524 games in the league and scored 302 points (134 goals and 168 assists).
