“I don’t think Williams should read Russian classics, but he is on the right track” – CSKA defender Dietz

Kazakh CSKA defender of Canadian origin Darren Dietz talked about reading Russian classics in the original and adaptation in a team of beginners Colby Williams .

On November 10, as a result of an exchange between CSKA and Admiral, Canadian defender Williams was added to the military team, while forwards Nikita Rtishchev and Semyon Pankratov went in the opposite direction.

On Wednesday, November 15, Williams made his debut for the new team. CSKA won against Amur with a score of 2:1 in the Fonbet KHL championship match. Williams was not effective.

— Are you helping Williams with his adaptation more than anyone else on the team?

– I’m glad to see him. He and I already played together several years ago, I try to make his stay in the new team comfortable.

— Would you advise your partner to read some Russian classics in their original version?

— I don’t think it’s worth giving any special advice, of course, knowing the Russian language makes life in Russia easier. But everyone has their own level, I think Colby is on the right track.

—What was the last book you read?

“I’m still reading Anna Karenina,” reports the correspondent.
