“Kaprizov wants to help Minnesota” – coach Evanson

The head coach “Minnesota” Dean Evanson commented on the Russian striker’s play Kirill Kaprizov emphasizing that the hockey player wants to help his team.

Minnesota lost in a shootout to Ottawa on Saturday (1:2), Kaprizov spent 21 minutes 31 seconds on the ice, did not make a single shot and could not use his attempt in a shootout.

— We tried different things. He’s such a player, a strong-willed guy who loves to compete. This makes him as crazy as everyone else. He really wants to help his team,” journalist Michael Russo quoted Evanson as saying on social media.

Ottawa won its third straight victory while Minnesota’s losing streak is already four games long.

The Senators will host the New York Islanders in their next game. Minnesota will play at home against Toronto.
