The 26-year-old Russian was selected by the Pilots in the 1st round of the 2015 NHL Draft, 7th overall. In the fall of 2016, Ivan made his NHL debut and spent seven seasons with Philadelphia, being the leader of its defense. In total, Provorov played 532 games with the Flyers, scoring 65 goals and collecting 152 assists.
This season, Ivan Provorov played 19 matches for Columbus, scoring one goal and making 10 assists.
