The first test match at the SKA Arena sports and concert complex in St. Petersburg will take place on November 26, the press service of the city investment committee reports.
It should be noted that up to 12,000 spectators will be able to attend the match. The match will bring together the student teams of the “Knights of St. Petersburg” and the “Stars of Nevsky”, which include players from 20 clubs of St. Petersburg universities participating in the championship of the Student Hockey League.
On November 3, the State Construction Supervision Authority of St. Petersburg issued permission to put the SKA Arena into operation. During hockey matches, it will be able to accommodate 21.5 thousand spectators. The complex also includes a small ice rink that can accommodate 300 spectators, a fitness center with a swimming pool, recreation rooms and a children’s area.
SKA Arena will host the Fonbet All-Star Game of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), the events will take place on December 9 and 10.
