According to the Canadian sports channel TSN, six Russians were among the 50 best young hockey players and promising NHL players.
The list includes hockey players who must be 23 years old or younger as of October 10. The top 50 also includes 20 Americans, 15 Canadians, five Swedes, two Germans and a representative from the Czech Republic.
Among the Russians in the ranking were Andrei Svechnikov (12th place), Matvei Mishkov (16), Pavel Mintyukov (34), Alexander Nikishin (39), Dmitry Simashev (46) and Yaroslav Askarov (47).
At the top of the list was Canadian Connor Bedard (Chicago), ahead of Americans Quinn Hughes (Vancouver) and Jack Hughes (New Jersey).
