— When I moved from Sochi to SKA, I encountered adaptation problems. Besides, all of this was not on the set, but in my head. You really have to be able to play in a club like SKA and be useful. It took me a while to rebuild. Then, when I played in the playoffs, with the national team, I already felt more confident. I want to transfer all of this into my game. The stats I show now are not my ceiling. I want and can do even more.
— When a player moves from a small club to a big one, not everyone understands what type of adaptation we are talking about. Explain how this happened in your case.
– Here, you know, what a story. In Sochi, I understood: to play in the playoffs, we have to jump over our heads. For this to happen, many factors have to come into play: we played well in certain places, while the opponents “faltered” during the season. SKA does not have a goal to qualify for the playoffs. The task of SKA is to win the Gagarin Cup. And I can’t think of my game in the previous context: what depends on me, what doesn’t depend on me… Here, you have to learn to be useful in a limited time. Now I understand: I don’t play for Sochi against SKA or CSKA, when I have to try, but I play for SKA, and I not only need to play, but I have to beat the same CSKA. It’s not about imitating, but dominating (laughs),” quotes RB Sport Glotov.
SKA has scored 38 points in 32 matches and is in fifth place in the Western Conference standings.
