Washington beat Buffalo in NHL overtime, Ovechkin scored no points

Washington hockey players won a voluntary victory over Buffalo in overtime, Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin was not noted for its effective actions.

Washington won at home against Buffalo with a score of 4:3 in overtime. Dylan Strome scored the winning goal with 4 seconds remaining in overtime. Russian Capitals defenseman Alexander Alekseev scored his first NHL goal late in the first period.

Ovechkin spent 20 minutes and 19 seconds on the ice and made 4 shots on goal. Washington won its fifth straight game.
